Student Union Director directs and oversees all operations of the Student Union in accordance with the university or college's policies and procedures. Responsible for directing all functions including coordinating facility use, administering student services and activities, and ensuring proper safety and security measures. Being a Student Union Director supervises, hires, trains, and evaluates professional and student staff. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Student Union Director typically reports to top management. The Student Union Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Student Union Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Redwood Credit Union is looking for a Member Relationship Specialist to join our Rohnert Park Branch. This role performs a variety of member service duties associated with teller, new account, loan transactions and documentation.

    Sales and Services
    • Provide excellent service to all Members, volunteers, internal employees, and service providers.
    • Cross-sell RCU and RCUSG products and services.
    • Open accounts and match Member needs to RCU and RCUSG products and services.
    • Determine the appropriate loan product(s) to meet the Member(s) needs.
    • Obtain information from Member to complete loan application; examine and collect proper loan documents.
    • Complete loan-funding process and recommend additional products or services to meet Member needs.
    • Research Member questions, problems, and complaints and respond with accurate information.
    • Safeguard member information and ensure confidentiality by following established policy and procedures.


    Transactions
    • Perform file maintenance on all types of accounts.
    • Perform accurate teller transactions and reconcile cash nightly. 


    Teamwork
    • Conduct audits of Credit Union documents and files.
    • Answer phone and efficiently complete phone requests.  
    • Participate in branch, departmental, and company meetings.
    • Perform branch opening and closing duties.
    • May be designated as a membership officer.


    Skills, knowledge and Abilities
    • Knowledge of financial institution products and services, including loans.
    • Thorough knowledge of personal computers with internet/intranet access and office equipment operation.
    • Skilled in counting and balancing cash.
    • Skilled in the operation of office equipment including personal computers with Internet and intranet access.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people.
    • Ability to identify errors and make corrections.
    • Ability to effectively cross-sell products and services using a needs-based sales approach.
    • Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
    • Ability to work a rotating schedule which will include working on rotating Saturdays.


    Licenses and Certifications
    • Ability to maintain a valid California driver’s license.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry in compliance with the requirements of Federal Law, including the SAFE ACT and NCUA part 761.

    Education/Experience

    A combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and at least 18 months experience in retail sales and/or cash handling experience. 


    Base starting range: $23.00 to $30.00 per hour commensurate with experience. 

    Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.
