The following anticipated position is for the 2024-2025 school year:

Director of Student Services

Schedule: 225 day contract

Starting Date: August 13, 2024 (Staff Workday)

Location: District Wide

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Ohio Supervisory, Principal or Superintendent License, or the ability to obtain temporary credentials while pursuing full state licensure.
• At minimum, 5 years of classroom teaching experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of special education policies and procedures under IDEA.
• Preparedness to ensure that a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) is provided to all students with disabilities.
• Strong time management, record keeping, communication and organizational skills.
• Experience working with department and/or building budgets and the ability to substantiate budgetary projections based upon program goals.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize database structures to track required steps in the identification of SWD and gifted students, and all subsequent IEP and ETR deadlines mandated by policy and guidelines.
• Willingness to become Gifted certified and train staff.
• Ability to become OTES 2.0 certified.
• Previous experience as an administrator/supervisor is preferred.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with students PreK-12.
• Demonstrated ability to work with staff, students and parents in a positive manner.
• Demonstrated ability to carry out job duties independently and awareness of where to find assistance when it is necessary.
• Satisfactory results from BCI/FBI background check before starting date.
