GENERAL STATEMENT of RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Teacher will be responsible for providing a positive working relationship with students, faculty, staff, and parents to establish effective rapport with students that will motivate them to develop skills. Responsibilities will include maintaining high level of confidentiality and standard professionalism while delivering a flexible program and providing a safe classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth to the students of the district.
STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT TEACHER DESCRIPTION:
Under the general supervision of the Principal/Assistant Principal of Academics and Assistant Superintendent of Student Achievement, the Student Achievement Teacher will utilize data to support staff in developing and improving learning opportunities for students. This position performs a variety of professional work that supports teachers in helping to increase student achievement through the monitoring, supporting, and facilitating of the processes involved with both formative and summative assessments, obtaining valid and reliable data/results, and assisting teachers in making informed instructional decisions. The Student Achievement Teacher is responsible for facilitating data meetings with content teams scheduled at the school level, analysis of assessment data, working with teachers to understand the data, and working collaboratively with the instructional specialist and content teachers to identify instructional strategies to help improve classroom instruction and student learning.
