Student Union Manager manages the operations of the Student Union in accordance with the university or college's policies and procedures. Responsible for managing all functions including coordinating facility use, administering student services and activities, and ensuring proper safety and security measures. Being a Student Union Manager supervises, hires, trains, and evaluates professional and student staff. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Student Union Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Student Union Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Student Union Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Overview
As the Assistant Manager of Student Services, you will play a critical role in supporting the efficient and effective delivery of services aimed at enhancing the student experience. Working closely with the Senior Manager of Student Services, you will assist in overseeing various aspects of student support and engagement, ensuring that services are accessible, responsive, and tailored to meet the diverse needs of our student population.

Terms of Employment:
37.5 hours/week
Hours of operations: 9:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday - Friday. Some weekend and evening work might be required.
Location: This work is primarily in person on the University of Alberta campus. Hybrid work may be accommodated; however, not during the first few weeks of each semester.
