Additionally, Student Union Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Student Union Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.     POSITION PURPOSE


    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies to drive credit union growth. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, creativity, and hands-on execution to promote our products/services and enhance brand awareness effectively. The Marketing Manager will lead a team, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and leverage various channels to achieve marketing objectives.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES


    • Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy: Design and implement comprehensive marketing plans aligned with company objectives, including product launches, promotional campaigns, and brand building initiatives.
    • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, motivation, and support to achieve team goals and individual development.
    • Brand Management: Manage and enhance the company's brand identity through consistent messaging, creative content, and impactful storytelling across all channels.
    • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify consumer trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth. Analyze data to derive actionable insights and refine marketing strategies accordingly.
    • Digital Marketing: Oversee digital marketing efforts, including website management, SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media, and online advertising campaigns. Continuously optimize digital channels to maximize ROI and engagement.
    • Content Creation: Collaborate with the content team to develop compelling marketing collateral, including website content, blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, videos, and infographics.
    • Campaign Management: Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to generate leads, drive conversions, and increase customer retention. Monitor campaign performance, track KPIs, and adjust strategies as needed to achieve objectives.
    • Budget Management: Develop and manage marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets. Monitor expenses and ROI to optimize marketing spend.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS


    • Competitive intelligence and analysis are provided monthly. 
    • Regular updating, presentation, and communication of the marketing roadmap. 
    • Digital Marketing programs are appropriate, effective, and reviewed regularly.
    • Service and product needs of current and prospective members are identified and met. 
    • Good working relationships exist with area personnel. Assistance and training is provided as needed.
    • Professional and effective marketing campaigns are maintained.
    • Management is appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Required reports are accurate and timely. Suggestions for improved performance are provided.
    • Good working relationships, DEI and collaborative initiatives exist with credit union personnel. 


    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS


    EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required in a related field (Marketing, Business, Communications, etc).


    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: 

    • Experienced marketing manager  
    • Experience with Asana or marketing project management tool


    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

    • 7 years’ experience building, launching and managing marketing campaigns.


    SKILLS/ABILITIES:  

    • Equally creative and analytical in order to move fluidly between idea generation, strategy building and execution.
    • Ability to discuss technical details and collaborate with production & design teams, while clearly communicating the credit union story with members, leadership, marketing and sales members.
    • Ability to resolve escalated issues arising from operational hurdles; requiring coordination with other departments.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at a given time.
    • Ability to self-start, work independently, stay organized, and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Always think “members first.”
    • Strong follow through to ensure all tasks are fully completed and feedback loops are closed.
    • Sense of urgency and deadline oriented.
    • Technical competency with marketing management software and other computer applications.
    • Mathematical Skills- Ability to calculate numbers and recognize patterns when analyzing data.



    PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION


    FINGER DEXTERITY: Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.



    TALKING: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.



    AVERAGE HEARING: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.



    REPETITIVE MOTIONS: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.



    FINE VISUAL ABILITIES: Fine visual acuity with the ability to inspect closely or to assemble small parts. 



    PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. (Almost all office jobs.)



    WORKING CONDITIONS


    NONE: No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions (Such as in a typical office.)

    REASONING ABILITY: 

    • Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization.  
    • Able to interpret various instructions.


    MATHEMATICS ABILITY:  

    • Ability to compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission markup and selling price; ratio and proportion and percentage.  
    • Able to perform very simple algebra.


    LANGUAGE ABILITY:  

    • Ability to read a variety of books, magazines, instruction manuals, atlases, and encyclopedias.  
    • Ability to prepare memos, reports, and essays using proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar.   
    • Ability to communicate distinctly with appropriate pauses and emphasis; correct punctuation (or sign equivalent), and variation in word order; using present, perfect, and future tenses.
