About Strategy & Partnerships at WSAC:
The Strategy & Partnerships team leads the development of the agency’s strategic action plan and oversees the execution of the Council’s priorities. The team engages with diverse stakeholders to identify issues, develop policy solutions, and support programs, policies, and practices that will advance the state's educational attainment goals. The Strategy & Partnerships division approaches the work with a focus on equity, centering students' experience in policy development, listening to local communities and leaders, and engaging with data and research to inform the work.

This position is hybrid eligible. WSAC operates primarily on a remote basis, but successful candidates must be able to work in the Olympia office and travel throughout Washington State when required.

Equipment and supplies required to work from home will be provided by the agency, including a computer, monitors, keyboard, and mouse.

Work hours are standard business hours of Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, however, requirements of the position may require work more than normal scheduled hours due to travel, to meet high-volume and/or time-sensitive workload and agency priorities.
About the Position:
The
Grant Manager, Regional Challenge Grant (RCG) will be responsible for ongoing grant management of funded and prospective regional partnerships, as well as other programmatic and administrative functions as a member of the RCG team. The RCG team includes staff in multiple divisions at WSAC who work cross-collaboratively. This position will sit within Strategy & Partnerships (S&P) and will work closely with RCG team members from the Research division and S&P.
The Grant Manager will contribute to the development of partnership-centered work at WSAC and to the ongoing learning about the potential and demonstrated impact of the agency’s RCG investments. The Grant Manager will be responsible for ongoing organization and technical support, including preparing and managing reports, contracts and invoices with grantees and contracted partners, and overseeing performance of sub-awardees and contracted partners.
The RCG is a developing investment by the State of Washington to support community-driven partnerships aimed at increasing postsecondary attainment in equitable ways. As such, this is a dynamic work environment, and includes opportunities for professional growth, such as trainings in new tools/technologies, mentorship, and engagement with experienced outside consultants. We are seeking a detail oriented, lifelong learner who is eager to co-create RCG with the communities we serve across Washington.
