Student Union Manager manages the operations of the Student Union in accordance with the university or college's policies and procedures. Responsible for managing all functions including coordinating facility use, administering student services and activities, and ensuring proper safety and security measures. Being a Student Union Manager supervises, hires, trains, and evaluates professional and student staff. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Student Union Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Student Union Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.     What you’d be doing

    · Leads regular sales, service and operational meetings and trainings to branch staff. Ensures new and updated policies and procedures are communicated to branch staff.

    · Oversees the branch building from the exterior to the interior to ensure a clean, professional and safe place. Communicates and or escalates any facility issues to the appropriate manager.

    · Oversees staffing, training, performance appraisals, promotions, career development, salary actions, and terminations of branch employees.

    · Implements corporate culture through reinforcement of quality service and
    teamwork and maintains a high level of employee morale within the branch to minimize turnover and maximize employee and member satisfaction.

    · Ability to provide a safe work environment by addressing complaints and supporting employees through coaching and mentoring.

    · Represent CCCU in community activities to promote membership.

    · Respond to members' requests, problems, and complaints, and/or direct them to the proper person for specific information and assistance.

    · Executes and communicates credit union direction and vision to branch staff

    · Ensures branch compliance with security and branch control policies and procedures. Responsible for satisfactory internal audits and operational soundness.

    · Other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience and Certifications

    · High school diploma (GED equivalent) required.

    · 3-5 years’ experience in a management position within a financial institution

    · 5-10 years’ experience working in a financial institution

    · Must be detail-oriented, complete multiple tasks, and be able to work independently.

    · Ability to think and act independently within guidelines and limitations of authority.

    · Ability to communicate effectively with the leadership team and staff.

    · Must present a professional, friendly, business-like manner and appearance at all times.

    · Excellent computer skills, typing, ten-key, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

    · Excellent verbal, written, and computer literacy.

    · Demonstrate advanced problem resolution skills.

    · Ability to supervise, train, and motivate assigned staff and maintain an effective and efficient schedule of workflow.

    · Maintains professional, productive cross-functional interactions.

    · Demonstrated excellence in maintaining and fostering positive relationships with employees, members, and business partners.

    Physical Requirements

    · Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

    · Ability to use a keypad and keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time.

    · Vision and hearing to normal range (or corrected).

    · Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

    · No adverse environmental conditions are expected.

    Other Requirements

    · Must be bondable - credit and background check required.

    · Comprehend and adhere to all Credit Union policies and procedures, banking regulations, and federal, state, and local laws.

    · Reliable transportation; must be able to infrequently travel between branches.

    · Ability to follow all credit union policies and procedures as well as all banking regulations and federal, state and local laws.
