What does this role do?
- Position is responsible for monitoring DeBartolo Hall and/or Coleman Morse. This includes unlocking/locking classrooms and meeting rooms; opening/securing buildings; completing rounds of the space; and acting as information contact for the building during shifts.
- Responsible for management of Debartolo Hall and Coleman Morse Center on nights and weekends
- Entrusted with security of the building, having access to keys for opening the building and securing the building at closing time
- Monitor daily event schedule throughout shift to account for late changes
- Perform periodic rounds to account for use, lock/unlock rooms according to schedule to promote safety and security of building
- Be able to problem solve and know resources to use to handle different situations
- Expected to be able to work independently
- Be able to learn building policies and adhere to them in the course of a shift
- Expected to attend periodic student staff meetings to review upcoming events and cover schedule variations
- Answer after-hour phone calls and act as information contact during shift
- Must be able to represent the Building Manager and Building Support personnel by interacting effectively and courteously with faculty, staff, and fellow students.
- Administer building Lost and Found during shift
- About 30 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications: - High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills and willingness to serve the campus community.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently as well as with a team where shared perspectives are encouraged.
