Subrogation Specialist, Sr. is responsible for subrogation activities including the identification and research of subrogation claims. Assists in the recovery of overpayments. Being a Subrogation Specialist, Sr. coordinates with other departments, insurance representatives and members. Processes subrogation, workers' compensation, and other claims where third-party liability exists. Additionally, Subrogation Specialist, Sr. develops cases resulting from beneficiary or provider-initiated inquiries, internal referrals, personal research, or computer-generated reports. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Subrogation Specialist, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. How you will make an impact - Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations - Engage in various department-wide initiatives - Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management - Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP - Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors - Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. - Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process - Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary - When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls.
