As a Senior Security Specialist with a focus on classified policies and procedures, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and compliance of a large-scale military design and construction project. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and security personnel, to ensure that all classified aspects of the project adhere to regulatory standards and safeguard sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Security Strategy Development: Develop, refine, and oversee the security strategy for classified aspects of the military design and construction project, aligning policies and procedures with project objectives.
2. Classified Information Management: Establish protocols for the proper handling, storage, and transmission of classified information, ensuring adherence to government regulations.
3. Security Clearance Coordination: Manage and coordinate the security clearance process for project personnel, including contractors and subcontractors, to ensure access to classified areas.
4. Physical Security: Design and implement physical security measures to protect classified information and sensitive areas, including access controls, surveillance systems, and secure storage facilities.
5. Cybersecurity: Oversee cybersecurity measures to safeguard classified data and systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
6. Security Audits and Assessments: Conduct regular security audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with classified policies and procedures, making necessary adjustments to enhance security.
7. Training and Education: Develop and deliver security training programs to educate project teams on classified policies, procedures, and security best practices.
8. Emergency Response Planning: Develop and maintain emergency response plans specific to classified areas, ensuring the ability to address security incidents and protect sensitive information.
9. Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with government agencies, contractors, and senior leadership to provide updates on classified security measures and address any security concerns.

Preferred Skills:

• Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM).
• Experience with security technologies, access control systems, and classified information handling.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and technologies specific to classified environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
• Deep understanding and SME knowledge of ICD Security Standards
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in security management or military service.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in security leadership roles with a focus on classified projects in the military or government sectors.
• Expert knowledge of classified security protocols, risk assessment methodologies, and compliance standards.
• Strong understanding of military construction processes and classified security requirements.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure and make decisions in challenging situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
