Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs the clinical, managerial, and administrative aspects of substance abuse programs. Measures and evaluates the effectiveness and quality of drug/alcohol rehabilitation treatment procedures to achieve standards and objectives. Being a Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) partners with community agencies and programs to ensure continuity in the type and level of patient care. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local standards and requirements. Additionally, Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.     Duties and Responsibilities

    • Conducts clinical assessments and develops treatment plans accordingly
    • Plans and carries out individual and group treatment
    • Performs case management tasks as necessary, recording and reporting on client progress to client families and supporters
    • Maintains accurate and complete records for each assigned client
    • Attends scheduled clinical staff meetings, clinical supervision, and other meetings for information exchange, case reviews, and client treatment
    • Must follow the curriculum set forth by the Clinical Director of Defining Wellness Centers Inc.
    • Must complete required documentation in a thorough and timely manner
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Availability

    • Work schedule is Monday through Friday

    Education

    • Master’s degree required

    Experience

    • At least one year of full-time behavioral health work experience
    • Previous lead or co-lead group therapy with adults preferred

    Licensure/registration/certification

    • Current and unexpired license with Mississippi State Board of Examiners preferred
