Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs the clinical, managerial, and administrative aspects of substance abuse programs. Measures and evaluates the effectiveness and quality of drug/alcohol rehabilitation treatment procedures to achieve standards and objectives. Being a Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) partners with community agencies and programs to ensure continuity in the type and level of patient care. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local standards and requirements. Additionally, Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Substance Abuse Specialist - Lourdes Counseling Center - PACT - Full Time - Days

  • The Chemical Dependency Specialist functions as a clinical member of the multidisciplinary team and provides treatment, rehabilitation, and support services with special emphasis on substance use assessment and intervention and consultation to the team.

    Embraces and ensures Washington State PACT fidelity standards are met. A critical attribute required of this position is exceptional interpersonal customer services consisting of an outgoing positive attitude, warm friendly joyful demeanor, and the utmost care and respect for our guests, patients, families, customers and colleagues.

    EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences required.
    • Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the population of patients served in the department.
    • One (1) year of training in substance abuse assessment and treatment or at least One (1) year of supervised experience and 40 hours of training in substance abuse treatment. Experience in mental health evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation given strong preference.
    • Must have or apply within 7 days of start date for the Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor; must obtain within 60 days of start date. Must have/obtain a current Washington State Driver’s License with reliable personal transportation and Liability Insurance. Chemical Dependency Professional in Washington State preferred.
    • Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred and ability to work with culturally diverse population.
    • Must have a clear understanding of the characteristics and problems of adults with severe mental illnesses and knowledge of the PACT model. Must have and maintain a cell phone to use for business purposes, as a monthly stipend will be provided towards a cell phone.
    • Evidence of support and fundamental belief in National Consensus Statement on Mental Health Recovery.
