Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs the clinical, managerial, and administrative aspects of substance abuse programs. Measures and evaluates the effectiveness and quality of drug/alcohol rehabilitation treatment procedures to achieve standards and objectives. Being a Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) partners with community agencies and programs to ensure continuity in the type and level of patient care. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local standards and requirements.   • THE POSITION OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR CONSISTS OF ASSESSING AND TREATING THE MENTAL, EMOTIONAL OR SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROBLEMS; INCLUDING ABUSE OF ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUGS.

    Job Duties

    • Assist in client treatment planning, case review, groups, assessments, referrals, and case management by discussing what is happening in their lives. Assist client in developing insight into themselves and their relationships.
    • Ensure compliance with program policies/procedures and goals of clients.
    • Assist in providing evidence-based treatment to clients-may include individual and group counseling, urine monitoring, report writing, and record keeping.
    • Provide standard services to outpatient clients and/or direct services to clients as assigned guiding clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems.
    • Consult with the treatment team to better assist clients’ care.
    • Attend/participate in professional staff meetings, arrange case conferences, and other meetings. to provide continuity to clients and prospective clients.
    • Perform administrative functions as deemed necessary by the Program Manager.
    • Manage caseload and billed services to meet the expectations of productivity for this position.
    • Maintain records of treatment and services provided and report client information for billing and audit purposes

    Qualifications

    • Must be licensed through Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board (LCDC II, LCDC III, LICDC, LPC, LPCC, LPCC-S, LSW, LISW, LISW-S).
    • Possess a Bachelors degree or higher
    • Valid OH or Compact unencumbered license
    • Must be able to deal tactfully with staff, clients, family members, visitors, and government agencies.
    • Must possess basic computer literacy skills
    • Must be knowledgeable of mental health assessment, coordination of care/services, and documentation expectations.
    • Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to quickly assess and provide care
    • Strong communication skills
    • Basic understanding to Proficient use of EMR/EHR systems
    • Experience in mental health and/or addiction (1-year preferred but not necessary)

    From $25.00 per hour
