Duties:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the level of addiction and appropriate treatment plans
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients

- Utilize evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy
- Assist clients in developing coping skills and strategies to prevent relapse
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Stay updated on the latest research, trends, and best practices in substance abuse treatment
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Certification or licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor (e.g., CADC, LCADC)
- Experience working with individuals with substance abuse disorders
- Knowledge of addiction treatment modalities and evidence-based practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to empathize with clients and provide non-judgmental support
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Familiarity with data collection and documentation procedures
