Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs the clinical, managerial, and administrative aspects of substance abuse programs. Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for clients with substance abuse concerns
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals
- Utilize evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to address underlying issues contributing to substance abuse
- Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention
- Collaborate with other members of the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive change in client behavior
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Familiarity with evidence-based practices in substance abuse treatment, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and their families
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in the field of substance abuse counseling
