Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs the clinical, managerial, and administrative aspects of substance abuse programs. Measures and evaluates the effectiveness and quality of drug/alcohol rehabilitation treatment procedures to achieve standards and objectives. Being a Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) partners with community agencies and programs to ensure continuity in the type and level of patient care. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local standards and requirements. Additionally, Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Qualifications
Licensed as an LPC, LPC-A, LCSW, CCJP, CCJP-A, LCDC, or CI in the State of Texas. An LCDC who holds a master’s or other advanced degree must complete at least 24 hours of continuing education during each two-year licensure period. An LCDC who does not hold a master’s or other advanced degree must complete at least 40 hours of continuing education.
Prefer graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in education, social work, behavioral science, or related field, or graduation from an accredited senior high school with two (2) years’ work experience in substance abuse counseling. Extensive knowledge of alcohol and drug abuse and its psychological and social effects.
