Supply Chain Manager

The Role
Lovevery is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to oversee warehousing, distribution, and freight management. You must have accurate and precise attention to detail in order to manage global supply planning, NetSuite Operations, inventory management, and logistics. This position reports to the Director, Supply Chain.
Attributes required for success in the role

You have a strong ability to model cost per unit, and different “what-if” scenarios related to transportation decisions and trade-offs.

Reports that you are responsible for will be depended on by the Lovevery co-founders and external stakeholders from the supply chain to the investor community. You are skilled at structured and complete communication.

With everyone driving hard to achieve the company’s goals, it is critical to have strong project planning and structured approaches to big financial decisions like transportation and warehouse costs. You are a natural project manager.
Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Manage the financial impacts of receipt flows, factory negotiations, and logistics decisions
- Interface with the finance and accounting team to maximize profitability and cash flow
- Analyze inventory levels based on sales demand and business objectives
- Build and maintain inventory metrics dashboard that show overall “Inventory Health”
- Identify action items, gather resources to address action items and follow up on all inventory-related issues to full resolution
- Identify and present ways of optimizing inventory based on historical sales data
- Monitor and track inventory levels and reconcile inventory variances using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions
- Manage initiatives to ensure supply chain resources support customer demand
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Management
- Pull and analyze data through saved searches and reports within NetSuite ERP system
- Seek strategies to streamline, automate, and simplify processes, including deployment of new integrations, use of data analytics, and working with NetSuite admins
- Understand functionality of accounting and finance, procurement, warehouse and inventory, order management, integration, automation, business reporting within NetSuite
- Experience in navigating within a Netsuite ERP that uses multiple warehouses
Capacity Planning
- Manage long-term capacity planning for assembled products and sub-components
- Negotiate manufacturing capacity with vendors to achieve healthy receipt flow for the business
- Use clear and efficient communication with domestic and overseas vendors
- Craft an optimized requested production schedule for multiple products and SKUs
- Work with internal partners to create optimal plan and identify tradeoff options in times of capacity, materials, or production issues
- Initiate and lead the development of short and long-term supply plans to balance the demand forecast with cost, efficiency and capacity constraints
- Identify and address potential risks associated with capacity constraints
- Prepare, present, and discuss data with senior leadership relating to cost, lead time, risk, and technical/operational constraints
Demand Planning
- Define product forecasts incorporating key business drivers such as budget, sell through, turn, and target stock levels
- Understand collaboration that is required to create demand plan (e.g., promotions, sales resources, collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment, budget, engineering change orders)
- Analyze demand shortfalls and changes in supply to prepare a supply summary and forecast to management
- Oversee the transition plan for product revisions based on launch schedules and supply availability
- Generate monthly supply plans that meet company’s financial objectives
- Coordinate with Marketing and New Product Operations teams to set launch quantities of new product introductions and to ensure smooth product transitions
- Monitor in-transit inventory from Asia to North America to avoid stockouts
Qualifications and attributes:
- 3 or more years’ experience working with NetSuite Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- 2 or more years’ experience being key manager / SME of supply and demand planning systems (Blue Ridge preferred, but not required)
- 3 or more years’ experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management
- Logistics experience with international and domestic shipments
- Skilled at building and maintaining spreadsheets and models
- Deep desire to scale workflow and find opportunities for task automation
- Ability to synthesize data and make business driving recommendations for senior leaders
- Experience with vendor/supplier management and negotiation
- 2 or more years in managing complex projects or initiatives with proven ability to build models and present data summaries
- Willingness to travel to Asia at least twice a year
