Job Description:
Transportation Analyst

This position is responsible for monitoring and responding to OS&D issues. This includes (but not limited to) providing POD support, daily tracking/monitoring shipments for on time delivery, working with carriers to locate lost freight, filing of freight claims, maintain customer routing/compliance guides, issuing RA’s for return or rerouting of outbound partial or in full orders and issuing call tags, The ability to function in a fast-paced operating environment across multiple departments is critical.

Role Specific Responsibilities:

• Initiate and process freight claims relative to any outbound shipment with delivery exceptions.
• Maintain customer routing/compliance guides to adhere to special instructions to avoid fines & penalties.
• Communicate with carriers in relation to freight claim resolution and returned merchandise.
• Working with LTL carriers and providing supportive documentation for rerouting of TL partial refusals.
• Provide disposition (return authorizations) to freight carriers and internal customers for unmatched freight exceptions resulting in customer deductions.
• Assist with additional functions and/or special projects as requested.

Qualifications:

• Education: Undergraduate degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Transportation/Logistics or Finance.
• Professional Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Detail oriented, excellent organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
• Role Specific Competencies: Constant computer and telephone use will be required—experience with SAP TM a plus.
