Supply Chain Analyst monitors and expedites the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Coordinates with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain. Being a Supply Chain Analyst identifies bottlenecks or problem areas and escalates or proposes solutions. Works with suppliers to resolve issues. Additionally, Supply Chain Analyst may assist in the negotiation of contracts or service arrangements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Supply Chain Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Qualifications/Position Description: • 4 years of demonstrated knowledge, expertise, and relevant experience providing medical material logistics support • Knowledge of managing shelf-life material and projecting shortages based on expiration dates • Material order submission, tracking, and expediting using DoD and Navy MILSTRIP requisition transactions. • Material identification and sourcing material from commercial and federal sources. • Managing inventory postures, stock levels and frequency of reordering for supported ships. • Research and process ship feedbacks. • Update ships configuration files and maintain medical AELs.
Education, Certificates…: • High school diploma or equivalent • Medical background desired • Ideal candidate for the Jr position would be a former HM2 or LS2 with experience in ordering medical material.
