The Senior Director of Supply Chain is responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction, and management of all departmental functions. This includes staffing, directing teams and providing leadership enabling the company to achieve its goals and objectives. The Senior Director of Supply Chain reports directly to the company’s operation’s executive and is responsible for all aspects of the department’s activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

§  Develop and maintain strategic planning initiatives while overseeing department activities

§  Lead and direct all aspects of procurement, supplier development, planning, and logistics

§  Manage vendor relationships, including identifying new vendors, aligning with production standards, and sustaining ongoing connections

§  Manage budgetary and operational facets of the supply chain, including materials, planning, warehouse, and logistics

§  Define and uphold accountability for fiscal activities, including Budgets, COGS, Inventory, PPV, E&O and Gross Margin

§  Monitor aggregate inventory stocking levels across all locations

§  Maintain and publish corporate DSO KPIs for total and subsequent warehouse locations

§  Direct commodity management for supplier development, second sources, and cost reduction initiatives

§  Guide commodity management and procurement in publishing yearly cost projections and setting PPV goals

§  Ensure smooth material flow into inventory by overseeing supplier transactions through purchasing

§  Provide monthly Supplier On-Time Delivery reporting for both supplier contracts and customer commitments

§  Oversee the release process in D365 to meet all On-Time Delivery requirements

§  Manage Planning processes for both internal and subcontracted materials

§  Establish Minimum Stocking Levels for high-volume products to minimize stockouts

§  Oversee the utilization of delivery tools by Planning and Procurement to maintain Supply/Demand alignment

§  Maintain an active leadership role in SOP, MRAP, PPV, and OTD processes

§  Utilize a customer-oriented approach to address changes or system failures, ensuring customer needs are prioritized

§  Develop and implement internal structures and strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity while meeting standards consistently

§  Assist Quality with supplier surveillance and the APQP Process

§  Participate in HR functions as needed for operational effectiveness, including maintaining staffing levels

§  Empower staff to meet scheduled commitments and acquire necessary resources

§  Foster the development and retention of high-performance team members

§  Ensure the achievement or surpassing of corporate KPIs within functional areas

§  Provide status updates, metrics, and critical information to executive staff members

§  Collaborate with the leadership team and CEO to develop business strategies and drive organizational success

§  Play a key role in strategy development, project planning, execution, and customer relationships

§  Facilitate effective supply chain processes through collaboration with engineering, quality assurance, finance, and business development

§  Serve as a subject-matter expert, offering guidance and recommendations throughout the organization and within the executive team

§  Identify procurement and inventory methodologies, presenting opportunities for new initiatives and best practices to the leadership team
