Responsible for all Perioperative Supply Chain and Capital activities and operations for Prisma Health. Ensures the effective management of perioperative supplies, capital equipment planning and related services while maximizing efficiencies and minimizing expense. Establishes sound and reliable interaction, communication, and high level of customer service for clinicians and physicians throughout perioperative services.Accountabilities
Directs all efforts related to Prisma Health Perioperative Supply Chain Operations. Ensuring the effective management and utilization of Perioperative supplies throughout the organization. - 30%
Works in partnership with Supply Chain Contracts department, for Service / Maintenance Agreements, Capital Equipment Selection and Planning for perioperative services as needed. Maximizes efficiencies / standardization while minimizing expense related to materials, inventory, and support functions. \u2013 15%
Works in partnership with Supply Chain Contracts department in vendor negotiations to ensure volume savings with system- wide focus of needs focusing on new services, end of life assets and future support of system strategies. - 15%
Works in partnership with Value Analysis department on product selection, contract compliance, utilization, education, training, and implementation. \u2013 20%
Establishes consistent communication of all activities (current and future) to key Perioperative stakeholders including but not limited to CEOs, Nurse Leaders, Preference Card Teams, and Surgeons. \u2013 5%
Maintains a Perioperative dashboard of related productivity and efficiency measurements to ensure operational control and deployment of budgeted Perioperative resources / assets. Maintains and tracks non salary expense reduction and other savings projects information. - 5%
Works with system-wide campuses to create, maintain and monitor adherence/compliance to system-wide initiatives, objectives, and budgets. - 10%
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority. Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health or affiliate and will have direct reports.
Minimum Requirements
Master\u2019s Degree- MS in Healthcare, Business, or related field
5 years \u2013 Progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, Perioperative services experience preferred but not required
Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses
CMRP, CPM, CPSM or related industry certification preferred \u200B
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
Financial acumen
Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
Proficient computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database)
Analytical support and critical thinking skills required. Must manage priorities and effectively multi-task with attention to details.
Proven ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships including physicians, department directors/managers and executives.
