Supply Chain Director directs overall supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory, selection of vendors, and distribution of finished goods. Develops and implements a strategy to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Being a Supply Chain Director negotiates with vendors to obtain optimal contracts and pricing. Utilizes data monitoring and analytics to evaluate past performance and trends and forecast inventory and distribution requirements. Additionally, Supply Chain Director requires a bachelor's degree. The Director will insure that patients, departments and other cumstomers will be furnished with all needed supplies and equipments in a timely and cost effective manner. The Director will supervise all activities of the Supply Chain Services department which includes Purchasing, Value Analysis and Supply Operations. Purchasing includes the Underutilized Business Enterprise (UBE), vendor registration and recall programs. Supply Operatiosn includes Central Supply, Mailroom, Receiving and Distribution, Fleet Vehicle Program and the Surplus/Donation Program. The Director determines the scope of service and plans for resources to accomplish established goals. Planning, organizing and overseeing departmental processes and activities, to include how the control of supplies and equipment will be accomplished. The Director will identify and pursue opportunities for standardization and utilization of supplies and equipment either purchased or leased by Shands Jacksonville.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration.
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration.
Necessary Skills:
1. Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain Services practices in Healthcare.
2. Demonstrated competencies and application of innovation, customer responsiveness, empowering people and leadership skills.
3. Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills in dealing with people, problems and issues and information.
4. Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain Services information systems and basic computer skills such as MS Office.
Preferred Licensure/Certifications:
Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) and/or Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) preferred.

Ten (10) years of progressive Supply Chain related experience with at least five (5) years of management experience.
