The Senior Director, A&D - Supply Chain is responsible for leading all A&D activities required to support the integration and separation activities involving Supply Chain systems. This leader will play a pivotal role in facilitating the seamless integration of supply chain operations during integrations and separations. The successful incumbent will partner with Deal leads, Architects, Data experts, Developers and several others to develop and complete integration and divestiture strategies that enhances value to buyers and sellers by leading fast, thoughtful and high-quality integrations/divestiture executions.
Key responsibilities will span from Due Diligence to Post-Transition implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and optimizing Supply Chain efficiency. This role demands a deep understanding of supply chain management, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and effective communication to coordinate across various groups of internal partners. Additional responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive assessments of the target company's supply chain systems, processes, identifying strengths, weaknesses and potential commonalities. Estimate supply chain integration cost and risk.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integration strategies that align with overall business objectives. Analyze potential cost-saving opportunities and operational improvements within the supply chain IT organization.
Implementation Planning: Develop detailed integration plans for supply chain functions, addressing process harmonization, technology integration and potential organizational changes. Work closely with the project management team to ensure timely execution of integration plans.
Communication and Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate supply chain integration plans and progress to key business partners, including executives, department heads, and buyers/sellers SC employees. Address concerns and challenges proactively, fostering a collaborative and positive integration environment.
Process Optimization: Identify and implement J&J supply chain standard processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance. Assist in streamlining and standardize processes across the newly integrated supply chain network.
Vendor and Supplier Management: Assess existing IT contracts and potential vendor relationships to optimize the supply chain cost profile and ensure compliance. Design and develop transitional service agreements where necessary.
Performance Monitoring: Establish key milestones for the integrated supply chain and regularly monitor and report on performance against these metrics. Implement corrective actions as needed to address performance gaps.
This leader will drive successful global program management through dynamic and ambiguous A&D environments ensuring strategic scope definition, delivery through planning, execution and completion of the transition and closure of the program.
This individual will collaborate with CIO, J&J Sectors IT leadership and other business functions A&D leaders (HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Global services, Facilities, etc.) and Regional/Deal Program Managers to ensure collaboration and efficient use of resources. The incumbent will provide insight and direction to the teams regarding program status, issues and risks raised to the global program office.
