Supply Chain Director directs overall supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory, selection of vendors, and distribution of finished goods. Develops and implements a strategy to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Being a Supply Chain Director negotiates with vendors to obtain optimal contracts and pricing. Utilizes data monitoring and analytics to evaluate past performance and trends and forecast inventory and distribution requirements. Additionally, Supply Chain Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Supply Chain Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Performs a variety of departmental functions, including inventory control, support and maintain par level systems, issue and fill departmental requisitions, deliver supplies / medication, and provide clerical duties to assist in maintaining the proper quality and quantity of medical and surgical supplies / medication for patient care.
DCH Standards:
High school diploma or equivalent, with minimum of two years college preferred. Previous experience with storage and distribution of supplies is desirable. Knowledge of medical/surgical supplies is preferred. Must be able to read, write legibly, speak and comprehend English.

Environmental
May be in proximity of pallet jacks and other inventory transport equipment on occasion, so must be aware of surroundings. Working in proximity of printing and binding equipment, and electrical outlets.
