JOB PURPOSE
Trainees will work with various departments on the production floor to understand how each production line and department operates in our fresh pork processing plant. They will spend an extensive period learning about the employees' skillsets on each line as well as the product specifications. The training period will be up to 16 months and take place in our fresh pork processing plant in Guymon, OK. Upon completion of the training period, Plant Operations trainees will be able to apply for open positions in our processing plant and be promoted within Seaboard Foods.
Department opportunities: Harvest department, Cut department, Conversation department, Stockyards, Shipping and logistics, and Safety.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds and sometimes push/and or move up to 300 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is commonly exposed to airborne particles and gases at low concentrations. The employee is frequently exposed to waste material, feed and hog dust.
