Supply Chain Manager manages the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for managing purchasing needs for assigned areas of commodities and/or services including the requisition process, supplier selection, material planning, processing, and systems inputs. The person must be involved in leading quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and simplification activities.
Essential Functions:
· Track and control all activities related to procurement and storage of all MRO materials.
· Daily communication with manufacturing staff, providing material updates and feedback.
· Adherence to and implementation of operational improvements (material flow, 80/20 simplification, empower, trust, and focus)
· Proactive supplier management including supplier evaluation & selection, supply base reduction, and contract negotiation.
· Initiate, develop, implement, and track cost reduction programs for MRO materials.
· Track and report plant spending.
· Process and administration of all EAM and P-Card requisitions.
· Assist A/P with Inventory/Receiving Records investigations.
· Assist with administrative projects and other duties as assigned.
Education and Training
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field preferred
· CPIM / CPM certification preferred
Minimum Qualifications
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP systems, etc.)
· Knowledgeable of MRP purchasing applications.
· Ability to negotiate effectively.
· Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a supply chain related function.
