Job Purpose
Manage product movement and delivery follow-up for part/commodity flows into US and Canada plants, to maximum use of inventory through initiation and management of supplier agility programs ensuring supply continuity and mitigating revenue risks. Use skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with full understanding of industry practices, company policies, procedures, tools, and business disciplines within the firm. Drive optimal balance of service to cost and profitability. Analyze performance, systemic solutions, special requests, and projects in support of business strategies and network optimization. Establish reporting and analytics that provide assurance that the system is delivering as it intends. Create solutions to repetitive exceptions that drive cost and hinder service. Continuously drive for best practice, assessing competitive intelligence, market dynamics, and cross-functional and regional expertise. Develop and maintain professional and working relationships within Supply Chain teams, plants, and suppliers. Use strong negotiation skills to enhance and grow agility programs with suppliers and plants.
Nature of Duties/ Responsibilities
Accountabilities and Decision Making Authority:
Responsibilities include supervision of teams built to strengthen supply chain operations, with emphasis on results, automation, and as-needed flow of material into the US and Canadian plant system. Improve and simplify processes, provide solutions and break down barriers to enhance the agility programs, program compliance, use of automation, and consistent, reliable service and supply. Use supply chain solutions to support lean, bullet-proof operational execution through the RSM and Global agility team management. Monitor and report results. Provide leadership support for plants and suppliers and with training as required.
