Supply Chain Manager jobs in Lansing, MI

• Prepare, complete, and deliver reports for purchase orders and procurement
• Input purchase order confirmations and date changes in the system
• Track inventory levels and days within the PO system
• Develop an understanding of The Shyft Group's quality processes
• Launch, schedule, defer, expedite, and cancel purchase orders in a timely manner
• Monitor and update supplier lead-times and notify suppliers of changes
• Confirm that suppliers receive purchase orders and understand expectations
• Obtain realistic delivery dates on shortages and follow-up with stakeholders
• Proactively confirm delivery schedules against orders and respond accordingly
• Monitor shortage reports, collect firm tracking, and expected delivery timing
• Validate and perform root cause for missed deliveries and excess inventory
• Monitor inventory levels and KPIs and process updates in the system
• Assist with generating inventory status reports and supporting special projects
• Resolve material replacement requests in partnership with the Quality team

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two or more (2 ) years of material planning experience preferred
• An understanding of the production process
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a related discipline (Preferred)
• History of following pre-established process and safety procedures
• Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
