Job Summary
The supply chain and purchasing associate is responsible for an uninterrupted supply of materials and services, implementing strategies to offset inflation, warehouse receipt and fulfillment. This should be accomplished through demand analysis, strategic negotiations, and market/industry analysis.
Work Responsibilities & Duties
- Participate in development of strategic sourcing plans to ensure long-term delivery of consistent sustainable and cost-effective supply
- Design and implement a vendor score-card
- Evaluate inventory needs through analysis of sales trends
- Produce, track, and monitor purchases from initial order to delivery
- Support Director of Operations in any active projects
- Address/Report any interruptions to supply chain
- Plan and execute bi-annual physical inventory and implement ABC counting method
- Monitor and validate the integrity of Bill of Materials
- Schedule and Complete Production Transactions
- Maintain Item Record Data in the ERP system
- Maintain Offsite Inventory data and processes
- Enforce and follow all purchasing policies and procedures
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- BA or BS in Supply Chain management or equivalent experience
- Previous experience is purchasing, supply chain, or other related fields
- Proven ability to identify opportunities for improvement, develop strategies, and implement solutions
