Title: Supply Chain Planning Expert
Duration : 1 year contract
Pay : $67/hr on W2
Location : Marlborough MA

Role Summary:
Reporting to the VP, Supply Chain Planning and Program Management, the Supply Chain Planning Expert will lead initiatives to improve manufacturing, procurement, and distribution planning best practices and tools. As Subject Matter Expert in Supply Chain Planning, this role will provide business process and system guidance and drive increased supply planning proficiency for practitioners across divisions and geographic regions. The Supply Planning Expert will ensure planners are equipped with the right integrated tool set and trained on their use, while playing a key role in helping to build capability and deploy the Global Supply Chain Planning COE’s strategy.
Current Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary business owner for supply planning practices used globally. This includes the translation of demand signals to supply plans (e.g. forecast to netted requirements, master production scheduling, MRP procurement/production plans, and distribution resource planning), identifying and solutioning supply planning business challenges, adapting to changing business needs, and troubleshooting issues with existing processes and systems.
• Baseline current supply planning performance, identify and quantify top improvement opportunities relative to best practices, and lead global initiatives to realize targeted business results (e.g. cost savings, resource efficiencies, service level improvements, etc.).
• Proactively identify opportunities to gain supply planning efficiencies through a continuous improvement process leveraging advanced planning automation and business processes. Define associated business benefits and costs and lead initiatives to ensure ROI.
• Lead global governance forums for supply planning practitioners to develop a continuous improvement roadmap and drive harmonized best practices across corporate divisions and global regions. Ensure sustainable alignment with relevant stakeholders.
• Work with Systems representatives to develop supply planning automation, deploy new functionality, and resolve automation break fixes and system updates.
• Develop training materials, train new users, conduct continuous learning sessions with existing supply planning practitioners and drive engagement.
Qualifications:
• Eight or more years’ experience directly working in supply planning roles (manufacturing, procurement, and/or distribution planner) with strong working knowledge of IBP/S&OP processes.
• Three or more years of demonstrated Supply Planning process improvement and project management capability with a proven ability to manage organizational change and drive results.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiating, and presentation skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization including executive management.
• Excellent project management, analytical, and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong working knowledge as a direct user of advanced supply chain planning platforms (e.g. supply/demand planning automation). Kinaxis RapidResponse experience preferred.
• Software proficiency with MS Office suite and Oracle or similar ERP systems.
Education and Experience:
• BA/BS degree in a supply chain, industrial engineering, business, or related technical field required
• MBA or MS degree preferred, but not required
• Professional Supply Planning certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, and CTSC are highly desirable
