    The Social Services Director oversees the operation of the nursing center Social Services Department according to the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations, Genesis policies and procedures, and standards of care for specialty practice.
    Position Highlights
    *Directly supervise two or more members of the Social Services staff.
    *Foster a climate, policies, and routines that enable patients/residents to maximize their individuality, independence, and dignity and the highest practical level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being and quality of life.
    *Educate staff regarding the role of Social Services and the psychosocial needs of patients/residents and their families/significant others including the problems of aging and disability.
    *Identify and monitor community changes and opportunities such as legislation, regulations, and programs that impact nursing home patients/residents.
