Summary: We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Director or Senior Manager, Business Intelligence. Your role will encompass overseeing the complete lifecycle of data acquisition, transformation, presentation, and analytics using SQL Server, Azure Data Lake (ADL) and PowerBI. With the help of team made up of DBAs, ADL engineers and Power BBI analysts, you will manage data analytics initiatives and provide production support to current infrastructure. Job Responsibilities

• Architecture and Design: Design, implement, and maintain Azure data lake solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and technical expertise.
• Data Ingestion and Integration: Oversee the ingestion of diverse data sources into Azure data lakes, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Data Processing and Transformation: Implement processes for data processing, transformation, and analysis using Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure Databricks, or similar tools.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with data governance policies, implement security measures, and manage access controls within Azure data lake environments.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize data lake performance, monitor system health, and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and efficiency.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders, including data scientists, business analysts, and IT teams, to understand requirements and deliver data solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Documentation and Reporting: Document data lake architectures, processes, and workflows. Generate reports on data lake usage, performance, and key metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated track record in managing data analytic function and team, preferably within a large automotive or RV dealership company.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, fostering a highly productive and motivated team.
• Extensive experience in data engineering, data management, or related roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and related technologies.
• Strong understanding of big data concepts, data lake architectures, and data warehousing principles.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Scala for data manipulation and analysis.
• Azure certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Familiarity with data streaming technologies (Azure Stream Analytics, Kafka, etc.).
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Minimum of three (3) years' managerial experience, encompassing recruitment, training, coaching, performance management, and employee relations.
• Proficiency in building and nurturing relationships both internally and externally.
• Based in Greater Tampa or willing to relocate.
• Open to H1B and Green card transfers.
