Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator is responsible for both automated and manual surface mount manufacturing. Responsible for set-up, operation, and adjustment of SMT equipment. Being a Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards. May be responsible for quality assurance and documentation. Additionally, Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. REPORTS TO: Shift SupervisorPOSITION TYPE: Non-Exempt
DEPT: Production
1. Job summaryTeam members are responsible for all aspects of the production process, including loading, unloading, parts handling, quality control, and other support activities as needed. The Production Operator follows all standard work instructions and practices safe work habits to ensure Production is as efficient and safe as possible.
2. Tasks- Performs work as assigned by the shift supervisor.
- Loading and unloading of production parts.
- Monitor racks for damage, report to supervisor as necessary.
- Performs quality checks according to Quality guidelines and package finished product/parts.
- Operation of process equipment as assigned in a safe and efficient manner.
- Prepare packaged finished goods for shipment to customer (strapping containers, etc.).
- Attendance at all Production meetings
- Compliance with Company's Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Maintains 5S
3. Additional Area of Responsibility- Perform other duties as assigned
4. Competencies- Attention to detail.

- Stays focused and on task to meet Production needs.
- Good follow-through as directed by Supervisors and Team Leads
- Self-starter
5. Desired Education, Work Experience, Knowledge- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
