Position Description

SOLID Surface Care, Inc. is pursuing experienced and entry-level stone/mental/wood and restoration craftsmen and concrete polishers. We hire hardworking and driven individuals with a passion to exceed and grow within our company and in the surface care industry. An ideal candidate will have some experience/exposure to restorative maintenance in a similar environment working with one or all of the following: stone, grout, metal, concrete, or wood.

Our Hard Surface Technicians are on the front lines complete Flooring maintenance and restoration specializing in the care of concrete, hard surface, Marble, Terrazzo and natural stone.

• Identify stone material species in order to determine required correct restoration process, i.e., marble, onyx, travertine, granite, slate, sand stone, terra cotta, etc.
• Select and utilize correct type of abrasive, polishing compounds, i.e., for floor refinishing.
• Remove Lippage from stone surfaces.
• Perform stain removal process to natural stone.
• Color match and repair cracks, holes, and stone breaks including 90-degree angles.
• Replace grout, sealants.
• Ability to refinish and polish concrete maintenance accounts and assist on concrete polish installation projects.

• Physical demands of the position include standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, squatting and lifting. Ability to lift 150 pounds (floor buffers, light hand tools, etc.)
• Must have the flexibility to work nights and weekend work all shifts
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the office/warehouse (independent of public transportation)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Valid Drivers’ License
• Minimum Age: 18 years old

Desired Skills (NOT REQUIRED)

• Leadership/Supervisor experience a plus
• 1 years of experience in hard surface restoration and maintenance HIGHLY DESIRED

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Ability to Relocate:

• Concord, NC 28025: Relocate before starting work (Required)
