Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator is responsible for both automated and manual surface mount manufacturing. Responsible for set-up, operation, and adjustment of SMT equipment. Being a Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards. May be responsible for quality assurance and documentation. Additionally, Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Training Requirements: New Employee orientation, On-The-Job, OJT refresher as needed, SPC, PPE, Operator Instructions, Inspection Instructions
Physical Demands: Requires standing for long periods of time and some walking (up to 7 hours), using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls; frequent repetitive movement, bending or twisting, lifting up to 10 lbs frequently, and occasionally up to 50 lbs; Exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable, and wearing common protective or safety equipment.
