Essential Functions

• Conduct visual inspections of parts at final stage and in process to ensure conformity.

• Read and understand technical drawings and specifications.

• Read and understand work instructions, SOP’s, and work travelers.
• Use measuring devices (micrometer, roughness tester, etc.) to evaluate the defects.
• Identify, measure, and record defects on appropriate documentation.
• Use NCR System to create reject tags.
• Conduct quality audits in production during the different steps of the process.
• Supports the company in improvement projects when needed such as 5S.

• Performs other duties as assigned

Work Environment

This job operates in the manufacturing environment, some office activities, such as reporting, may be required as needed. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8 hours per day, with additional hours as business needs necessitate. Willing to work flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends, if necessary.

• High School Diploma

• Turbines industry, Aviation
• Previous quality experience (visual inspection, source inspection, FPI): 3 years of experience in coating business
• Computer literate
• Experience with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
