Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator is responsible for both automated and manual surface mount manufacturing. Responsible for set-up, operation, and adjustment of SMT equipment. Being a Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards. May be responsible for quality assurance and documentation. Additionally, Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. What will you do? You will do meaningful work that makes a difference through saving energy all around the world!The Machine Operator (extrusion) performs the various duties required to run foam production lines, such as, but not limited to, mill mixing; changeovers; monitoring extruders; set up, monitor, adjust line conditions, and coating process; complete all necessary functions in digital production management system, start up and shut down the production line.What will you bring to Armacell?- Willingness to be trained on our processes
- Ability to work on or near large industrial equipment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. (Most PPE provided by the company. Safety shoes required with reimbursement up to $100 provided after first 30 days.)
- Basic math and English reading/writing/verbal skills.
- Bring a strong attention to detail including safety, 5S, and production processes.
- Previous experience with manufacturing mills, extruders, and complex machinery is a plus but a general aptitude and willingness to learn is also preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose minor issues with little assistance.
