Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator is responsible for both automated and manual surface mount manufacturing. Responsible for set-up, operation, and adjustment of SMT equipment. Being a Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards. May be responsible for quality assurance and documentation. Additionally, Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Position Requirements include:- Proficient in the setup and operation of Knowledge of SMT screen printers, automatic and semi-automatic pick-and-place systems and reflow ovens
- Ability to understand and implement SMT operations per drawings and assembly procedures
- Ability to perform tasks using a microscope
- Attention to detail in the preparation for and SMT assembly of complex PWBs
- Strong soldering skills with both through-hole and SMT components
- Certifications to J-STD-001 and J-STD-001 Space Addendum are a plus
- Good communication skills
- Must pass eye exam
- U.S. Citizenship required
