The company operates a major terminal on a 53 acre property along the Hudson near Albany, NY with a liquid storage capacity of 38 million gallons and a 30,000 square foot warehouse for dry storage. The property boasts a deep water dock capable of handling ocean vessels year round and has a rail siding with capacity for 7 cars.

The Terminal Operator is responsible to assist and support the Terminal Manager and Terminal Operators with the overall management of the Terminal. The role ensures that the critical day to day operation of the liquid tank farm of 38 million gallons, dry packaged finished product and truck load out system run smoothly and safely.

Reports To: Terminal Manager

Responsibilities:

• • Responsible to provide leadership for Health & Safety initiatives – lift truck safety, working at heights, confined space, lockout/tag out, meetings
  • Housekeeping and the delegation for terminal upkeep – equipment maintenance, grounds, workshop and tools organization
  • Mechanical aptitude to provide leadership for operation and maintenance for tanks, pumps, piping and valves maintenance and product blending
  • Responsible for ocean vessel discharge at terminal dock – interface to ensure safe and efficient offloading
  • Perform calculations for liquid quantities required in blending of raw materials and accurate and timely reporting
    
  • Provide tank and raw material inventory reporting as required
  • Partner with QC to develop product and raw material sampling schedule and execution
  • Operate lift truck and safely handle materials and guide others in the lift truck operation and handling of products.
    
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications & Experience:

• • Oil/Gas Terminal experience an asset
    
  • STRONG hands on Mechanical Aptitude required
  • Measurement and reporting accuracy and efficiency
    
  • Fork lift and small equipment operations experience
    
  • Willing to climb 50ft tanks
  • Must be able to pass pre employment background and drug testing
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work flexible hours, OT if required and provide on-call assistance if needed
