Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator is responsible for both automated and manual surface mount manufacturing. Responsible for set-up, operation, and adjustment of SMT equipment. Being a Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards. May be responsible for quality assurance and documentation. Additionally, Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Description:- Run/operate CNC Mills, conventional machines, and other manufacturing machinery.
- Inspect parts and make machine adjustments as instructed to achieve production requirements.
- Receive training at the Tooling department.
- Inspect and measure finished product to ensure proper completion of process. Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Read and follow work orders, schematics, blueprints. Perform basic troubleshooting on machines
- May operate punch press, mills/lathes, conventional manufacturing machines.
- Provide support to other areas of the production processes
- Entry Level Machinists are welcome to apply!
Requirements:- At least 2 years of machine operator experience.
- Experience with Mills is Preferred
- Able to lift, pull and push up to 50 lbs.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Must be able to read and follow written instructions (blueprints, work orders, travelers, schematics)
- Must have reliable transportation
