Being a Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards. May be responsible for quality assurance and documentation. Additionally, Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Responsibilities we will trust you with:
· Setting up manufacturing equipment for daily use.
· Maintaining equipment and machinery while keeping a safe working environment.
· Training and overseeing other employees on specialty machines.
· Maintaining the understanding of operating procedures for specified machining centers.
· Proposing improvements to their processes or machines as needed.
· Understanding and reporting hazards within their working environment.
· Work with engineering and inspection personnel to achieve desired outcomes at your machining center.
Knowledge and expertise that matter for this role:
· Basic understanding of the decimal system and other number systems.
· Experience with basic tools; more advanced preferred.
· Highschool Diploma or Equivalent.
· Prior machine operator experience (1 year or more preferred).
· *Must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time*
