Surgeon - Heart Transplant examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats patients with end-stage cardiac disease. Surgically replaces a diseased or damaged heart with a healthy heart. Being a Surgeon - Heart Transplant reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving the desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Heart Transplant may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. As a Transplant Coordinator you will organize all the programs and activities for our transplant patients. In addition, you will provide education on the transplant process to patients and their support members. A Transplant Coordinator is responsible for understanding proper treatments plans for various transplant patients.
Your primary duties will include but are not limited to:
•Evaluating potential transplant candidates.
•Arranging care during all transplant phases.
•Monitoring, recording, and communicating patients’ conditions as appropriate.
The ideal future caregiver is someone who:

•Can critically think and problem solve for patients’ best interests.
