The Position

The Director, Hospital Services is responsible for the operational execution of the hospital services department processes and procedures for referral generation, referral management, hospital relationships and account management. The Director will analyze the operations of and oversee efficiencies and/or process improvement by implementing policies, procedures, and operating structure to maximize organ and tissue authorization while remaining compliant with regulations. The Director establishes standards and guidelines to nurture and promote ongoing relationship management with donor hospital partners and other key stakeholders to ensure we maximize every donor opportunity.

What You’ll Do

Strategy & Planning

• Collaborate with senior leadership to set strategic goals and objectives for the department and track progress toward achieving them
• Develop and execute strategies that enhance hospital satisfaction, and donation growth
• Ensure the team builds hospital account plans that consistently achieve hospital goals and foster strong relationships with the hospital
• Maintains regular communication with key donor hospital contacts, and industry partners; using learnings to identify and implement ways to improve the donation referral process
• Actively participates in the strategic thinking process, Leadership meetings, department and work system meetings

Operational Oversight

• Provide operational oversight for Hospital Services ensuring processes are efficient and scalable to support donation growth
• Translate and deliver data consistently into actionable information for staff, leaders, hospital partners, and various stakeholders, to identify gaps and drive performance excellence
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to hospital accounts
• Resolve any hospital escalations that need to go beyond the account manager, ensuring a timely resolution of any concerns or complaints
• Lead the team, setting clear goals, providing ongoing training, and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
• Implement best practices in hospital service, leveraging technology, LEAN tools and innovative approaches to enhance donation and hospital engagement

Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key leaders at hospitals, serving as the point of contact for major issues or opportunities
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, personalized, vertical-specific solutions that align with hospital partners objectives and expectations
• Coordinate with the AOC, Family Support, Regional Operations and Donor Services teams to ensure seamless execution of services, addressing any challenges swiftly
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Intelligence, Performance Excellence, HR, and Communications to ensure consistent delivery of services and drive satisfaction

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business or healthcare related field or equivalent work experience is required, Master’s degree a plus
• 3 years of direct people management experience required
• Prior leadership experience in a healthcare organization, transplant center, or organ/tissue organization strongly preferred
• Experience facilitating meetings and conducting presentations to C-level audiences
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic account management plans that result in measurable growth
• Knowledge of key customer service principles and problem resolution techniques
