Surgeon - Heart Transplant examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats patients with end-stage cardiac disease. Surgically replaces a diseased or damaged heart with a healthy heart. Being a Surgeon - Heart Transplant reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving the desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Heart Transplant may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid Non Probationary Driver's License in the State of NJ with a good driver's history
Criminal Background Check/Pre-employment drug screening
Direct Support staff will not be listed on the Central Registry
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Skills

One year experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities preferred
Job Duties
Assist Day Program participants with vocational skill development
Develop and maintain an interactive relationship with each participant that reflects the values and principles held by Heart to Heart
Participate in ISP/IEP meetings if needed
Assist in the development and planning of Day Program activities
Transport participants in company vehicles between Heart to Heart Day Program, their homes, as well as for activities such as trips and shopping
Administer medications and documents such in compliance with Heart to Heart Home Care's policies and procedures which conform to DDD guidelines
Assist with daily living activities and personal hygiene
Exhibit proficiency and implements all tasks needed to service individuals appropriately, including ISP objectives, upkeep of the work and activity areas and other tasks as needed. Must complete all documentation appropriately.
Must cooperate with Heart to Heart and the Department of Human Services staff in any inspection or investigation
Follows through with additional responsibilities and tasks related to care and compliance as assigned by Management or Administration
