Fast paced multi-physician practice looking for an energetic/outgoing person who possesses excellent communication/customer service skills to join our team. This position is one of the most important functions in the health delivery system and the first point where contact is made personally or by telephone. The candidate will provide support to our new patient coordinator and front office.

Job Duties:

• Welcome patients as they contact the office personally or by telephone and explain the services available, payment categories, and billing procedures.
• Schedule new patient appointments, direct walk-in patients, and emergencies as per established policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls and route them to the appropriate staff.
• Retrieve patient messages.
• Register all patients per registration protocols and collect all documentation. Review new patient policy with patients.
• Email new patient packets.
• Review and verify patient coverage of insurance and compute charges to be paid by the patient.
• Maintain waitlist for new and established patients.
• Scan insurance cards into the system.
• Request and follow up on insurance authorization from the primary care doctors.
• Create benefit documents and verify insurance benefits via different insurance portals.
• Maintain, rename and index new patient referrals on the fax server.
• Review incoming faxes on the fax server and distribute to the appropriate folder.
• Communicate patient concerns/complaints to the Front Office Manager.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
