Surgeon - Oral performs oral surgery to prevent and correct injuries, deformities, diseases or improve patient function, appearance or quality of life. Reviews patient history and confirms need for oral surgery. Being a Surgeon - Oral determines which instruments and method of oral surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Additionally, Surgeon - Oral provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. May provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. Surgeon - Oral's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     • Patient Care: Provide compassionate and patient-centered care, addressing oral health concerns.Build positive relationships with patients and create a comfortable environment.
    • Leadership and Collaboration: Collaborate with dental assistants and administrative staff to ensure smooth operations.Provide guidance on treatment plans, protocols, and best practices.
    • Adherence to Protocols: Adhere to established clinical protocols, including infection control and safety measures.Implement and follow specialty referral guidelines when necessary.

    Requirements

    • Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Certificate of Completion
    • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental school.
    • Active and unrestricted dental license.
    • Experience with treatment planning, case presentations, and patient education.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $500,000.00 - $600,000.00 per year
