Additionally, Surgeon - Orthopedic may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to a medical director. Requires a license to practice.     ```Responsibilities```
    - Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
    - Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
    - Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or concerns
    - Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
    - Collect patient payments and provide receipts
    - Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
    - Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scanning documents
    - Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations

    ```Experience```
    - Previous experience working with phone systems in a professional setting
    - Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is preferred
    - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality
    - Experience working as a medical receptionist or in a medical office environment is a plus
    - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    - Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Epic is beneficial
    - Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and professionally, particularly in an emergency room or dental office setting
