Surgeon - Pediatric examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats children from the newborn stage through late adolescence. Treats a wide variety of problems children may have, which may include appendicitis, hernias, cancer, or a serious congenital anomaly. Being a Surgeon - Pediatric reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Pediatric may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. Job Summary
Behavior Technicians (BT)/Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) will provide ABA therapy to clients diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). As a BT, you will work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to implement client-specific, comprehensive treatment plans.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct direct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients.
2. Collect and record data on client programming during sessions.
3. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent and effective implementation of behavior plans.
4. Maintain Recipient Rights of all clients, respecting their dignity, privacy, and cultural differences.
5. Maintain arms-reach proximity with clients at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
6. Provide feedback and communicate progress to BCBAs and other team members.
7. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
8. Participate in monthly staff meetings as scheduled by support staff and supervisors.
9. Foster daily communication with families regarding client progress and needs.
10. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions and progress following MetroEHS guidelines and expectations.
11. Pursue RBT Certification within the first 90 days of employment.
Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent required
2. Previous experience working with individuals with ASD or related developmental disorders preferred.
3. Completion of required ABA training programs and willingness to complete training upon hire.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to follow behavior intervention plans and adapt strategies as needed.
6. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
7. Commitment to upholding ethical standards of the RBT Ethics Code as written by the BACB.
