Surgeon - Pediatric examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats children from the newborn stage through late adolescence. Treats a wide variety of problems children may have, which may include appendicitis, hernias, cancer, or a serious congenital anomaly. Being a Surgeon - Pediatric reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Pediatric may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. - Valley Children’s is the 3rd largest free-standing children’s hospital in California
- 358 beds, 42 PICU beds, 88 NICU beds, level 2 trauma designation
- 17,000 anesthetics per year, 16 anesthesia locations daily, covering all pediatric surgical specialties, except burns and transplants
- Opportunity to join our cardiac team for our robust pediatric cardiac service
- Excellent relationship with surgeons and ancillary staff
- CA licensure, ABA certification, BC/BE in pediatric anesthesiology

Job Description:This is a fantastic opportunity to join a unique 100% physician-only private-practice group of 22 pediatric anesthesiologists in sunny central California
- We are fair, transparent, and prioritize work-life balance: pick your own cases; all call, early and late shifts divided equally
- No CRNAs, occasional resident supervision (1:1)
- Typical schedule 45-50 hours per week, including call. 1:20 weekday call M-F, 3pm-7am, 1:5 weekend call Sat, Sun

- 2 years to partnership
