Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware is seeking a Pediatric Surgeon.

The Pediatric Surgeon will be responsible for the management of surgical problems in infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. The pediatric surgeon will collaborate closely with the other members of the pediatric surgical team, as well as the pediatricians, to provide comprehensive care for our patients.

The ideal candidate will have experience in all neonatal and childhood surgical procedures but also a focus of specialization that defines the candidate as a unique member of the team.

The American College of Surgeons (ACS) has verified NCHDE as a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, Children’s Surgery Verification (CSV), and a Committee on Cancer Hospital. We enjoy a full service neonatal and pediatric ECMO program, an Advanced Delivery Unit with multidisciplinary collaboration, a Bariatric Program, and specialized hepato-biliary-pancreatic service that include liver and kidney transplantation. The Division of General Surgery supports every other year ACGME Pediatric Surgical Fellowship Program. Nemours Children’s Hospital Delaware is the Department of Pediatrics for the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA. The Department of Pediatrics includes an ACGME Pediatric residency and multiple board approved fellowships.

Academic appointment is awarded by Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University based on established professorial guidelines. General Surgery is a Division in the Department of Surgery. A newly appointed Surgeon-in-Chief for NCH-DE has oversight of all our surgical services.
